Web design

Beautiful website design that sets you up for
long-term success

Your website is a representation of your brand and your company. Putting your best foot forward means having a fantastic website. My style as a freelance web designer is detail-oriented, clean, and genuine. The result? A design you will be guaranteed to fall in love with and proud to show off to the world.

Having a vision in your head and executing on it in the digital space can be hard. That’s where I come in. I approach all client relationships as a mutual partnership – with ongoing guidance and support, one-on-one collaboration, and years of industry experience. I not only want your new website to look incredible, but also used as an asset you can grow and maintain yourself in the future, without headaches.

I understand how great website design can transform the bottom-line
of your business with happy customers.

how it works

The process

01

Discovery & planning

During the discovery phase, I'll be learning a lot about your work and what matters to you. First, get in touch with me and we can discuss the services you require, along with timelines and budgets to make sure we are a good match! Once we agree on scheduling and all contracts are signed, I can book you into my calendar.

Goals: Alignment. Agreement. Clarity.

02

Creative brief & project kick-off

Once all the paperwork is out of the way, we can get started! I send all my clients a creative brief to help me fully understand your business goals, ideal customer, and desired aesthetic. With your insight, we can start brainstorming a creative direction tailored to you. From there, we can have a kick-off meeting so we are clear on strategy, direction, and desired outcomes before I dive into the design work.

Goals: Strategy. Conceptualize.

03

Ideas & inspiration

At this stage, I like to explore possible colour palettes and typography combinations that I feel would fit with your aesthetic vision. I'll start by drafting a blueprint and creating a mood board that embodies your project. I always get sign-off from you before I start designing fully-fleshed concepts, to ensure that the creative is aligned with your expectations.

Goals: Distill. Translate. Create.

05

Finishing touches

After we've polished up the finishing touches (typically 2 rounds of revisions are allotted), your new website is ready to be revealed to the world. Once all outstanding invoices have been paid, I'll provide you with all the assets/files you need. This exciting step brings the fruits of our labour to a tangible result. Time to celebrate!

Goals: Refine. Launch. Celebrate.

04

Design

This is the part where you can sit back and relax. Once we agree on a visual direction, I'll work through sweating the details. Your new website needs to do more than just look great, it has to provide a delightful experience too. Your feedback and input is appreciated throughout this collaborative process.

Goals: Design. Collaborate. Present.

FAQ’s

How do we get started?

First, fill out my contact form to get started. I'll ask a few additional questions and send you more information about my pricing and process. You'll have a chance to ask me any additional questions you might have, so we can both make sure we’re on the same page. If you decide to move forward, I will send you a contract and invoice (standard stuff!).

How long will my web design project take?

Project turnaround times depend on the amount of work required on a specific project, as well as client response times. Typically, most website design and builds take 6-8 weeks. I normally do not take rush projects (work that needs to be completed in 2 weeks or less) as it does not allow me to do my job properly.

How far in advance do I need to book you?

I work with clients on a first-come, first-serve basis to keep an organized schedule and to ensure ample time for each project. At least 1-2 months in advance is needed to appropriately plan for your website design.

Do you charge per hour or per project?

I charge a per-project fee based on the value and expertise I bring to the table. As all of my services provide a demonstrable ROI and improvement for your business, my fees are a reflection of the high-quality partnership I have with all my clients. This also helps ensure my clients are never in the dark about pricing or unexpected costs.

Do you do both design and development?

I currently only offer design services. If needed, development services can be incorporated into your project. I only work with high-quality, vetted web developers that work in the background to get your website up-and-running.

Do you design logos or write content?

No I do not, sorry! But I can help connect you with some talented copywriters or logo designers in my network.
